First Responders

Blood spills and other potentially dangerous materials can cause cross contamination if not properly handled. OSHA standards for bloodborne pathogens (BBP) and personal protective equipment (PPE) require employers to protect workers from occupational exposure to infectious agents. The BBP standard applies when workers have occupational exposure to human blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM). The Medical Bio-Wipe™ bag enables quick and safe clean-up of bodily or infectious fluids at the scene of an accident, fire, medical emergency, etc. It’s an ideal solution for first responders, such as:

  • Ambulance/EMTs

  • Fire Departments

  • Police, Sheriff and State Troopers

The cellulose fiber enables clean pick up without smearing the blood on the floor or other surface.

Process for clean up:

  1. Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  2. Place Bio-Wipe bag on spill to absorb

  3. Wipe remaining spill

  4. Invert the wipe, transforming the mitt into a bag

  5. Spray with appropriate disinfectant

  6. Wipe with dry towelette

  7. Drop dry towelette and gloves inside bag and seal

  8. Dispose in the appropriate waste container

The Mini Biohazard Cleanup kit supplies everything needed to clean up a biohazard spill in the convenience of a small compact kit that can be placed in a medical supply bag, first aid kit, etc
